2023 Winners

Congratulations to Jackson McCoy! Jackson lives in Plain City and just graduated from Jonathan Alder High School where he was Editor of the Pioneer Press, Student Director of the Marching Band and President of the Senior Class. He will attend Ohio University to study journalism.  Jackson was a volunteer on Anne Gorman's campaign and he has attended rallies in support of Black Lives Matter and women's rights.  Thanks to Cheryl Brockman, MCDP member, for presenting our award to Jackson.

 

 


 

 

Congratulations to Rylee Hart! Rylee lives in West Jefferson and just graduated from West Jefferson High School where she was active in volleyball, the Pheasants Forever Club and the Renaissance Club. She will attend Tolles Technical School and Columbus State Community College to study firefighting and paramedics.  Outside of school, Rylee worked with Kayle Mast Photography on a letters to Santa campaign and she volunteers at Sufficient Grace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Congratulations to Amanda Carpenter! Amanda lives in London. She just graduated from London High School where she was a cheer leader. Amanda also enjoys spending time as a gymnastics coach. She plans to attend the University of Dayton where she will study health science/pre-physical therapy. Thanks to Anne Gorman, MCDP Chair for presenting our award to Amanda.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Laura Sampson!  Laura lives in Mount Sterling and just graduated from Madison Plains High School where she was active in track, the National Honor Society, FFA, French Club, and the Key Club. Laura plans to attend the University of Toledo and will study political science and psychology. Laura is passionate about LGBTQ rights and women's rights. Thanks to MCDP member Peggy Garrison for presenting our award to Laura.
